Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) former MP Ramesh Bidhuri on Sunday rejected claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding his potential projection as the party's chief ministerial candidate in next month's Delhi assembly elections. In a statement, Bidhuri dismissed the chief ministerial speculation as "totally baseless" and reiterated his commitment to serving the people and the BJP. He emphasized that his focus remains on his duty as a dedicated party worker and public servant, expressing gratitude for the party's trust in him over the years. Bidhuri also criticized Kejriwal for spreading "misleading propaganda" about his candidacy.

Atishi, the incumbent Chief Minister and BJP’s opponent in Kalkaji, also accused the BJP of planning to elevate Bidhuri, criticizing his language as inappropriate.
The BJP, however, dismissed these allegations as a baseless rumor, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah accusing Kejriwal of trying to manipulate public perception for political gain. Shah rejected Kejriwal's claims, asserting that the decision on BJP's candidate is for the party, not Kejriwal, to make.
