MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Wednesday reported that it has seized P52.5 billion worth of illegal drugs from July 2022 to December 2024. 

Based on PDEA data released on Wednesday, the agency seized 120,553 pieces of ecstasy, 6,764.56 kilograms of shabu (crystal meth), 6,247.70 kg of marijuana, and 80.76 kg of cocaine.

The PDEA also touted that it conducted 94,050 anti-drug operations, during which it arrested 127,155 drug suspects and 8,138 high-value targets.

A total of 1,266 drug dens and two clandestine laboratories were dismantled, the PDEA added.

The agency previously reported that 29,390 barangays were declared “drug-free.”

PDEA, however, likewise indicated that 6,113 barangays are still “drug-affected.”

Last month, the PDEA reported that it seized P21.43-billion worth of illegal drugs in 2024.
