vipph MTRCB ‘ready to guide’ content creators with Geng Geng Network’s launch
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said it is opening its doors to help Boss Toyo, Rendon Labador, and other content creators, as they’re set to go mainstream with the launch of Geng Geng Network on D8TV channel.
In a statement on Facebook on Friday, December 20, the government agency reiterated that it will ensure that the people behind Geng Geng Network will abide by its standards while citing Presidential Decree No. 1986.

Despite this, MTRCB said it “appreciates” Geng Geng Network’s efforts in making sure that its programs are aligned with the needed guidelines.

Article continues after this advertisementThe MTRCB’s statement comes after Boss Toyo, Labrador, and his fellow vloggers announced that they would go mainstream through Geng Geng Network, containing programs with entertainment, fashion, fitness, family, and inspirational-centered themes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Totoo ngang may notion na influencer lang ‘yan, vlogger lang ‘yan, lagi kaming nasasabihan nang gan’un. Bakit lagi nila kaming dinudumb down pero pinapanood pa rin kami… we’re here to prove that we’re not just content creators or social media influencers. We’re here to prove na kaya naming magbigay ng saya, entertainment, aral, at drama,” Boss Toyo said of the network’s launch.
